About The School

          Ujala School of Special Education, Indora was established in June 2016 under the aegis of Divyaujala (Regd) society Indora district Kangra (HP) with a view to providing opportunities of schooling, training & developing for the physically & mentally challenged children. The children with special needs are admitted to the school after making the assessment of the child in terms of the residual capacity available in each child. The focus in on “What is available in the child and not what is missing”. After making the assessment of the child of the ‘Individual Educational Plan’ for the special child is made and executed. It is an accepted fact that the mentally challenged children do not reach the level of complete self dependent of living & working and almost always require some kind of supervision or assistance, the school programmed of training does contribute in improving the quality of living of the special child and sharing the responsibility of the family of the special child.

          The special children are imparted instructions in functional Reading, Writing Arithmetic (3Rs), Social skills, Money & Time Concept in addition to Self Management Skills (Activity of Daily Living skill) and some Vocational Skills such as art, craft & envelop making, rangoli etc..
